At Rest

My apologies for the garish neon background color, some errant line of code picked it to accompany this post. A post of more studious studio work. The combination of a quintessential summer beer and some undeniably summer oriented shades. Nobody would wear these in the winter. And the only time I wore them I felt like a huge prick. But they do present a great technical challenge, and such they were deemed purchase worthy.

I’ve been reading up on styling photos with props. The practice of enhancing the primary object with others. I remember hearing about how food stylists in Minneapolis were highly sought after, all the good ones booked months in advance every day of the week.

I happened to have a spare bottle of Corona laying about, and so after a semi-frustrating bit of experimentation with these glasses, the bottle found its way into the frame. I think it fits. I like how some of it shines through. It could be further refined though.

And while my new employer doesn’t deal directly with Corona, I’m already hyper aware of beverages in general after my first day on the job.
