It Is Dance

I will write this post while listening to my favorite author read some of his journalistic work. I paused at least three times due to laughter during that previous sentence (the material is his coverage of a most absurd/unbelievable account of a rather unsavory convention). His posthumous book is in the mail.

And this just might be dance. Again, as is often the case, I don’t entirely understand it. There’s a couple things going on, and somehow they interact, and somehow it works. But I suppose I’m posting it instead of the ten other photos I really want to share because it’s dance in motion. Most of my other dance related posts have been entirely still, static compositions of space.

THE LEG is what’s up. It is separated from the off-white flooring by at least two sweatpant-clad legs behind it. Also the hair, and the other hair, these undulating rivers of hair all a bit blurred.

I finished two videos today. If you’re curious, see them here: (hit the YouTube logo to watch enlarged on YouTube instead of these miniatures)
