Living Room Observer

There sure is something wonderful about a nice head on a wall. Acquired via eBay by an aesthetically aware room mate, this is one of two such beasts that protrude from this apartment’s sheetrock and otherwise inhabit our dwelling.

While there’s a lamp, a couch, and at right top a yellow polygon, this image is clearly about the deer. Or rather it’s all about the framing of the deer. It’s in this squashed rectangle with a second rectangle’s lines convening behind its brow. The lamp backlights the once-breathing being, casting a regal silhouette into the camera.

Noticed this composition a couple days back while walking from the kitchen to my room and had to document.
