The Cup is Two Halves Empty

The glories of studio photography continue – got to this lovely Dunkin-heavy composition after much adieu. The wonders of walking also continue to give generously to my photo habit, despite the two times I stepped ankle-deep into crosswalk puddles on the way home.

So food’s the name of the game today and likely tomorrow morning when I shoot again. We needed multiple props and thankfully the Dunkin servers were happy to include a couple free cups with my mammoth $1.59 muffin purchase. I was hoping to shoot some high-end cupcakes from a boutique cupcakery, but alas they were snowed out.

This is working for me. It seems simple enough, like you think you can get it in a single glance, but look again My Friend. Notice the logo on the napkin. The logo in the muffin casing(?). The tight spacing between the left of the cup and the frame. Heck, that might be my favorite part.

Until my hunger gave in and I devoured it, at least.
