Green Light Shoot

Another shot from the snow storms of yore. Today we had a couple inches – just enough to make everything pretty but not enough to really muck up the sidewalks. And the weekend commences, likely without bike polo as the court is now double snowed in. We’ll see.

As I continue shooting with the fisheye, I find myself wanting a non-distorted super wide angle take on things. Unfortunately, that glass (/lens) goes for well over $1k, and requires a full frame… which is the next step really, but… but… eh. That’s equipment for’ya.

That being said, I don’t think this shot would work without the distortion. This image works because it bulges out. It’s not what your eye sees. And… well, maybe I’m just getting better with the wide angle. I’m more able to see this kind of shot, which wouldn’t work at all the same with a standard focal length lens.

Enough! Snow. Streets. A mess of White.
