Off White

It might snow again tonight. Hard. Near-class-cancelling potentially. Perhaps it’ll even white out the school. It might be enough to get me on the bus for the commute, though I think I’d rather walk. We’ll see.

This shot, from a previous snowfall, keeps taking my glance when flipping through recent work. Like yesterday’s, I’m not entirely sure why it’s so appealing. There’s no single factor that does it.

The muted tones, interrupted only by some squiggles of red and walls of brown brick, dominate the scene as semi-curved lines of black dart all about. These copper distributors of power, all adorned with a layer of white.

It all looks old fashioned. Maybe that’s the it about it. Beyond some newer looking transformers on the poles, the whole scene looks like something out a 60’s movie.

Snow again.
