The Hang Out
Further experimentation with the fisheye yesterday, whilst sitting in the living room amid a most lovely gathering. What I can’t get over is the 3200 ISO here… even at a relatively small resolution, that’s outstanding. Not much light in there.
So this is really about the clutter of the living room. There’s two slight pockets of sparseness in the frame – bottom center and top right – where there’s a simple gradient that fades a bit. But every other place is filled with stuff. David Foster Wallace novels. Potted plants. Ceiling fans. Girls. Televisions. Etc.
That being said, I haven’t spent enough time really digesting this shot yet. I know I like it. I just need to figure out more why. As much as I enjoy seeing my feet (at center), my suspicion is that there’s more in this that turns me on to it.
Pizza and Infinite Jest.
