Salt, sweep, shovel, drink some champagne, and PLAY POLO! I’m super pumped for next weekend’s tournament. Something like 25+ teams (of 3) are making the trip from far flung cities to compete (and drink) for a couple solid days. Given my lack of recent polo court time, I’ll be dual-wielding some great cameras and hopefully making some incredible work.
I’m most fond of the scale change seen here as your eye looks deeper into it. Man Left is huge, Man Somewhat Center (Man Wheelie) is about halfsies, Man At Far Right is smaller still, but still trumps Men Far, Far Away.
At its core it’s a brief moment of downtime on the polo court before the next game starts. Doors are closed, the far team is lined up, and the bruising Briton living the one-wheeled dream.
3.2.1.POLO
😉
tony approves!

great shot.
tag says fisheye, but the focal length says 50mm.
Like the calmness of Jav, and the restlessness of the other.
for some reason the fisheye turns up 50mm in the metadata, maybe that’s just the default. The lens is completely manual and might not communicate its goodness to the body.
8mm fisheye though.
