Another capture from my growing “snowbanks-reflected-in-windows” series. Perhaps it’s a bleak wash of reality that paints over the flashy veneer of window displays. Or a simple inside-vs-outside comparison. Or more likely it simply caught my eye whilst walking the avenues of lovely Uptown Minneapolis.
The reflection creates a strangeness, adding a second layer of depth/perspective to the frame. Either one can be focused on, but in doing so you look beyond or in front of the other layer without that layer disappearing into blur as it generally does when seen in person.
Also the color. Holy wonderful grime of a wintered street with its varying shades of cold grit. This topped off by two lovely purple socks and some hints of red in a flannel.
It’s Urban in Uptown.
