En route to the skate park I happened upon two pairs of willing photographic participants. Unlike the gruff, yet thickly sophisticated, European gent that turned me down at the train station (even though I didn’t shoot anything, I can still see the photo-to-be in my head), today’s subjects were won over despite my less than stellar approach, which consists mostly of “hey, I’d like to photograph you.” To which the question is “why” or “for what,” to which I reply “for you.” Of course there’s something in it for me, but alas, its like Christmas – my primary derived joy comes from handing it over.
So what you see is precisely the point. An entirely genuine photo built on a smile on the back (though not from sheer happiness or to a joke, but rather I suspect the neatness of having a camera-toting cyclist riding alongside you), and the front smile with less clear origins. But it’s legit, regardless.
SKATERS, all two of you today, posted the photos HERE (LINK)
