New Glasses

While today was my eighth consecutive day shooting at the skate park, I fear I must post something non-skate related. It’s about those glasses. I can’t figure out why exactly they’re so powerful, but they’re obviously working their optical magic all over me.

This photo is also largely courtesy of the new camera I’ve been slinging. It’s lit entirely by a street light, and holds up mighty fine even at its highest res. Very pleased with that aspect of it all.

Portrait-wise it’s fairly standard. The head/eyes are at about the upper 2/3 marker. The background is cheerily blurred. With those standards covered, there’s also a less seen offset of the head (closer to the left side) coupled with the left tilt of the head itself. This does odd things to the space on the right. I quite like that. Not sure why. Just compositional experimentation I suppose.

Still can’t get over those glasses.
