The Fans
Firstly, to the Napervillians at the game, I threw a set of images up on Flickr from the night. Most of the stuff I shot whilst lingering in your orange-shirted zone is destined for video splicing and will hopefully be finished up before too long. If you would like any image found in the set for personal use, shoot me an email and I’ll get it over to you – gus@gustavhoiland.com

To those not in attendance, let me backstory you (to backstory: verb, to “fill in,” inform, educate, ramble, create fake definitions to improperly used words, etc…). Went out for a bike ride after work, happened upon a football game at the nearby high school that was teeming with Naperville’s youth with a couple hundred parents thrown in for good measure, albeit sitting in a different section. Paid the four bucks, got in, shot shot shot, focusing largely on the great mass of home-team fans.
This image is pretty self explanatory. Everyone looking one way except for one. Blends from sharp left to blurry deepening right. The top left light is not the moon, but rather a stadium light. Black and white’d from a strong orange filled reality. And on and on…
