Waiting & Playing

Couldn’t resist a second post today.  I was playing polo yesterday with the gang and Jav convinced me to upload my shots from the previous weekend’s trek to Philadelphia to play polo with all sorts of East Coasters (Richmond, DC, NYC, Charlottesville, Philly, Boston, etc…). As you’ve probably noticed, bike polo is one of my main subjects in my photography, and will continue to be in the foreseeable future.

As far as this image goes, you’ll notice the desaturation… nothing bright or loud here. Also notice those 5 guys on the court? Look familiar?  (if not, go back a couple of entries)  Popular polo days = tons of people = waiting around for a half an hour to play = chatting it up with your polo buddies and having time to climb fences and shoot photos. The rest of the shots in the set (above link) are mostly motion-y/blurred out and whatnot, another style of shooting I play with quite a bit.  Also, who do you focus on on the left  side of the photo? The man in the red flannel looking up at the guy in the hockey jersey?  Yeah, thought so.  Me too.  Smiles.  Something about’em.

3 2 1 POLO!
