I didn’t know if this was a jab or a hook. Looks more like a jab. Is there a third (and fourth?) category? All I know about boxing, the highly technical and nuanced bloodbath that it is, is that it’s excellent to photograph ringside. Ya’ll almost got a shot of some boots and a radiator today, but I figured I’d dig this up instead.
Shooting beneath fluorescent light led to much black-and-whiting from this session. Perhaps it’s not all the fluorescent’s fault, but unless there was some great vivid red or blue (color of the ropes and most of the jerseys), I sucked the color out.
The new cam’rah digs are treating me well. As usual, lust of different lenses is ever-lurking, but eh. Such is life.
Saturday beckons.
