I came across this yesterday after I posted for the night. Boy do I love this shot. I nearly unposted what I had posted in order to put this one up. This is why I photograph. I suspect ya’ll may be less enthralled in this than I, but … well, this one’s for me I s’pose.
A very shapely composition, but each shape is filled with its own patterns and matter. A trapezoid of fencing at left, gridded by slats and poles. A balloon of a tree at right. A parallelogram of aluminum bench, piled high with polo-related debris, leading us straight to the man on his perch.
One of Boston’s finest, this is the guy who brings a campy folding chair to the court for optimal between game rejuvenation. He has also been known to bring everything needed to make mint juleps, and then to gratuitously serve them to all attendees.
To Wednesday!

I’ll be fine when the big flood comes.
