Video’d the masses at Panopticon Gallery’s opening tonight of a new show. A crowd, abundant wine, interns aflutter, and the video machine rolling through time in my palms.
This right here pretty darn well sums up the style of video I shoot for these show-opening bits. 30-60 second ‘hey check out this new show’ briefs that introduce some of the work and get a sound bite from the artists. Two words – reflections and blur (depth of field/sharpness play).
This shot will go from the sharp crowd reflected in the frame to a completely invisible crowd but a very sharp and dashing damsel at the right of the frame. You can see her now, but you’ll really see her about three seconds into the clip (as of yet unreleased).
The weekend of editing begins.
