The harsh light continues to shine forth onto this great smile. The color’s really the same as yesterday’s, though when viewed on my work computer it took on a completely different look. This is a cause of much concern, but alas, such is the nature of variations in output devices. The man pictured had on his desk two sets of headphones as well as a pair of speakers – each will make his music sound different, if only subtly.
I’m looking forward to shooting more people in this style, this mix of hard light against a gradientish background. It looks like it’d be at home in Wired magazine. For me, it works.
Tomorrow I’m covering a lecture at Northeastern, one of many that I will be documenting in the coming weeks. While it offers chances for creative interpretation and growth, unfortunately it’s just not as dynamic as a shoot like this one here. There’s not much visual spontaneity in a panel discussion. But alas, it offers solid education in the field.
No vuvuzela, didn’t make it that far.
