Phew. That was a lot of Photoshop. About the same time in the ‘shop as the entire (admittedly not extensive) setup and shoot to create the image(s) to work with. Looking more and more at hitting Lynda.com again for some much needed dozens of hours of software tutorials. Because I was a’strugglin just now, trying to make this work.
First thing, this is made from two images, and then the background was siphoned off (understand this was shot on my very thin desk next to my computer, not on a grandiose tabletop with infinite seamless). One of the images provided just the “Zacapa” lettering as well as those four gold medals below the wrap. These are precisely thing elements I was unable to capture in my last post (two days ago) of this bottle.
Enough explanation, I’m reeling over here in appreciation for how well this turned out. I’ve impressed myself and for now can happily ignore the 14 technical flaws in it. I’ll tackle those tomorrow.
Love it.
