Picked this up the other day. I haven’t made any specific pact with myself over its eventual fate, but I suspect I’ll photograph it until I’ve got a whole pile of portfolio images out of it and then break the seal.
Plenty of technical challenges here – clear bottle with a dark liquid, a matte label on the spout, metallic lettering on the body, and a weave of dried something along its belt line. I couldn’t for the life of me get the metallic letters on the main label to stand out. Something white essentially needs to be reflected into them and tonight was not the night to conquer that beast.
I discovered this particular lighting the other day whilst holding the bottle in the left hand and an LED light in the other, just experimenting with how the contours and liquid would accept the photons. A nice, thin stripe of white light at right, a diffused, rummy reflection at left (most pronounced in the neck of the bottle). Good for today.
To a four day week.

stunning !
Thanks Luis! Stay tuned for further work on this bottle.
