Today was the conquest of aluminum. Perhaps my first time ever attempting to really light a can as this was a material that was a bit hastily brushed over in my studio class. I do recall the general wisdom of “Metal? Side-light it” being thrown around. Oh, and that it was really hard so good luck.
Difficult indeed. Too difficult to post any full product shot here, though I did almost semi achieve a pretty darned good one. But just one. And I really don’t have the lens(es) to shoot this stuff proper. But that’s ok. For now.
This is a massively cropped image to say the least, and the original intent was to crop out otherwise remove the paper at right that I Had used to more softly illuminate the object. But in this here composition it works.
I’ll have to give this another night (or dozen).
