Monday self portraits is (was) the name of the game today. I’ve taken to finishing off my homebound bike commute with two climbs/sprints up the biggest hill in town, today with a load of groceries neatly packed into an already full and massive backpack. The legs are none too happy, but I say give it a couple days and I’ll be up for three.
Hair lighting has never been my strong point. Barely ever even understood it. So this was some good practice, an illuminating (ha) session so to speak.
Admittedly, some recent music discovery via YouTube led me to some excellent portraits, the style of which I tried in part to emulate here (to understand). This: http://bit.ly/q4OSqx Still working on honing the color, and I have a sneaking suspicion I’ll have to start bringing this stuff into Photoshop to tweak it to my heart’s desire (this is all done now in Camera Raw).
