Learned all about working for McKinsey & Company in Dubai today, masters of management consulting and incredible hourly rates to be certain. Sample projects include advising African tribal leaders on educational programs, more specifically whether or not they should not so subtly copy their neighboring territory’s system. A good night’s sleep might lend some morning clarity (insights into fate?) to whether or not I should throw myself into the tempest of applicatory processes.
Self portraits at arms length, long ago the domain of MySpace profile photos, have been a favorite of mine quite some time. The key is to obscure the arms or otherwise draw attention away from the facts of the shooting setup. Zooming helps. Also not shooting directly into a mirror and making some stupid smirk helps.
The eyes got me here. Had they not worked, you’d have been subjected to a lip-intensive image, surrounding hair follicles and all in brilliant focus. The whiff of hair atop the forehead, fading quickly into the blackness, also pushed this one on to the top of the day’s podium.
Careers, graduation, real personhood, self portraits against the wall, etc.

I would have never guessed this was at arms length, the eyes! Well done…
