Post number five-hundred, one half way to the eventual 1000 that will mark nearly three years of goodness. I figure I’ll keep bounding along til then, certainly til 600 and beyond. It’s been a great ride thus far and will undoubtedly continue. 500, so that’s what, a year and change? It feels like longer, but I suppose the recent present always seems more permanent than it is.
I picked up a pair of clear-framed glasses primarily to photograph them, but also to begin building my library of spectacles. I have some strange fascination with glasses as a fashion accessory, their power in making a statement of profession and personality is profound. IT people have their style, lawyers another, creatives yet another, etc. Heck, they might communicate even more than a hairstyle can, though I suspect the two are closely related. Perhaps in tandem they’re the ultimate indicator.
I’m planning to do even more studio work coming up. As much as I’ve toyed around with strobes, I don’t yet have that natural and fluid relationship with them. A couple month’s worth of daily product and portrait shooting should get me into the zone. And something good just might come of it all.
To the thousand(s)!
