Woke up early. Edited photos all morning. Came upon shots like this. I reckon I’d love to start every day like this.
Come to think of it, I’d love to repeat my oceanic adventure with a cadre of dancers and simply shoot this til the sun goes down a couple dozen times. Perhaps I can turn to Kickstarter for about fifty grand to make it happen. (three weeks sequestered on the Pacific on a container ship, see: http://gustavhoiland.com/category/ocean-travel/)
On that note, I was wondering today from a purely business standpoint which avenues in photography might interest me. My continuing self assumption has been that I don’t particularly know which stylistic niche is mine yet, nor do I define myself by a certain type of creation (event, portraiture, documentary, fiction…), and as such it’s a bit tricky to lay the framework for careerdom with cameradom. And so I continue to shoot relentlessly.
But seriously, container ships, cameras, lighting, and hair.
