Another afternoon in the wonderfully enveloping world of undergraduate dance education. No professors in sight, no authority figures yapping their maps. Just a sweet collection of graceful beings, working in casual garb on a future performance.
Today there were reflections cast from glossy Yamaha uprights, a wide assortment of colorful socks, and this. One lone dancer isolated at the edge of a cavernous studio, a space too large to be contained by mere ceilings.
Curtains are the name of the game, and they hang down from the heavens. Should you look up you’ll see them ascend forever upward until they appear no thicker than a needle, eventually threading into a cloud that never strays.
