Big Red Smile

“Hey Bert, let’s go tan!”
“I dunno Ernie, you’re pretty tan as is.”
“I’m going tanning, bubye!’

Ernie’s perpetual smile endures for all eternity. I think it’s because he’s also chronically tan, and he loves every minute of it.

This week’s assignment was focused on texture. Yesterday’s post was full of creases and grit and shoe-ness, plenty of texture there, while this is more of a study of fabric. The fuzziness shows around the edges. The individual threads in the weave show through at points (not so much at this resolution), etc…

I had to shoot beneath the eyes because they were plastic and thus most decidedly reflective. And that’s for a later assignment.

Ahhh, tanning.
