Sweet, sweet Uptown (Minneapolis). Rain, shine, sleet, cold, bitter freezing, foot amputating nose cracking eye frosting ear splitting temperatures aside, it’s a wonderful place.
From my “standing on street corner, leaning against telephone pole” series, a ritual of sorts from my photo walks when I just need to soak in what’s around. Because moments like this happen. Because I can’t possibly take in the entirety of what’s in front of me while on the move, and even after a half hour pegged to a stoplight I still see new stuff.
So this is really about the heeled women seen at top right. Without them it’s just another damp corner on a cloudy day. But they give it something, perhaps not time, but the moment. Also there’s a couple of complimentary 2′s going on in addition to them – the two white lines on the street, the brick columns…
People watchin’ with a camera.
