Broke out the self portraiture this evening in lieu of having anything else in front of me. There was some great rain outside, but alas I lacked the will to suit up in some real gear and get out to shoot. A brief walk left me chilled boneside and thoroughly wet, with the camera kept dry inside the backpack. I recall some quote about there being “no such thing as bad weather, only improper dress.” And boy, I do not have at my disposal the equipment (boots and a rain jacket?) to keep me somewhat dry and warm in the midst of 35 degree pouring rain.
It’s funny how the green borders (auto-generated by my wordpress theme) make the picture itself seem less green. The presence of all that other minty goodness diminishes the thoroughly green nature of the perceived image. Or something like that.
The props-for-making-photography-happen tonight were apples in threes, all aired out in patterns of jugglious motions. The photo wasn’t quite doing it for me right side up so I turned it. My favorite piece is the hand seen at left, clutching the apple in some almost “fight the power” fist-like stance. Of course it was just the next candidate in line to be hurled upwards with an uncertain fate.
Red apples on a highly edited background.
